THR Distribution Schedule Changes

Summary of Changes

Effective February 1, 2026, the Take Home Ration (THR) distribution schedule has been revised to improve coverage and reduce wastage. The key changes are outlined below.

New Distribution Schedule

THR distribution will now follow a bi-weekly schedule instead of the monthly distribution. Distribution days will be the 1st and 15th of each month (or the next working day if these fall on a holiday).

Revised Quantities

The per-beneficiary allocation remains the same on a monthly basis, but will be distributed in two equal installments. This change aims to ensure fresher supplies and better utilization by beneficiaries.

Record-Keeping

AWWs must maintain distribution records for each installment separately. Updated register formats will be distributed by the block office. Digital entries in Poshan Tracker must be updated on the same day as distribution.

Effective Date

These changes take effect from February 1, 2026. The January 2026 distribution follows the existing schedule.
